Before kicking off your Holistic Management training, we’ll introduce you to world famous San Sebastián, a bucket list destination for foodies and surfers everywhere.
You’ll arrive the day before and we’ll have a home cooked meal at the ranch with products we’ve grown ourselves. We’ll leave the ranch early the next day, first for a walking tour of San Sebastián where you’ll learn some of its history as a key sailing and fishing port since Roman times. You’ll get to visit the aquarium, which is much more than just a bunch of fish floating around, but is also full of history about the fishing and whaling industries of old including lots of model ships.
After the aquarium, we’ll head to the Old Town where we’ll do a real pintxo tour—not one of those touristy “tours” where you get a couple of bites and a few glasses of wine—eating Basque-style tapas that are more art than food, roving from bar to bar to taste their specialties. In this city, where there are more Michelin stars per capita than anywhere in the world, you’ll quickly understand why San Sebastián has become a global food capital!
When you’ve had your fill, topped off by the famous “Basque burnt cheese cake” in the place where it was invented, you’ll be free to spend the rest of the afternoon on your own to explore the town, spend time on the beach, go swimming, hang out on a terrace, as you wish. Then we’ll head back to the ranch for a light dinner and get ready to kick off Holistic Management training the next morning!
